Crash death motorcyclist is named

A motorcyclist killed in a crash with a goods vehicle in Teignmouth, Devon, has been named by police.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the accident in New Road at about 0830 BST on Tuesday.

A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said Dean Platt, who was 45 and from Shaldon, was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.

The driver of the goods vehicle is not believed to have been injured in the collision.
